Taghrid  Najjar  is the author of over thirty Arabic books  for children (3 – 10).  Amongst them is Who Hid the Eid Lamb, which was translated into English and published in World Literature Today in the January 2005 issue.
Other stories have been translated and published in Chinese and French magazines.
An animated version of her book Al Ghoul (The Monster) was featured as a segment in Sesame Street (Palestine, 2003).
One of her most critically acclaimed works is a series of stories (nine books illustrated by the well-known Syrian artist Lujaina Al Aseel) revolving around six-year old Jude, her family and friends.  The series (Al Halazone) deals with everyday childhood issues with humor and great insight.
Several of Taghrid Najjar's books have been adopted for supplementary reading in schools all over the Arab world.  The author is a Palestinian-Jordanian who lives in Amman with her husband and three daughters.  She is the founder and CEO of Al Salwa Publishing House.
